Terms of service
Last updated 20 August 2026 · Bionic Forms is made by Bionics LLC
· Questions: matt@bidwellhq.com
The short version. Your data is yours and you can take all of it with you
at any moment, without asking us. You can cancel whenever you like. We will not sell your
data or use it to train anything. And we are an early product, so we tell you plainly
what we do not promise.
These terms cover the Bionic Forms desktop app, the web app at
bionicforms.com/app, this website, and any public forms you publish
with them. Using any of those means you accept them. They work alongside our
privacy policy, which describes what we collect and why.
Your account
- You need an account to use the hosted service, and you are responsible for what
happens under it. Keep your password to yourself.
- Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got into your account.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live, and if you are signing
up for a company you must be allowed to agree to these terms on its behalf.
- One person may use the free plan on their own. Paid plans include unlimited people
in your team — we do not charge per seat and we do not count heads.
Your data belongs to you
- Everything you put into Bionic Forms — records, files, app designs, form
responses — stays yours. We claim no ownership of it.
- We store and sync it to run the service, and for nothing else. We do not sell it,
we do not share it for advertising, and we do not use it to train machine-learning
models.
- You can export all of it, whenever you want, without asking us.
One download gives you every record as JSON plus every attached file. That is a
deliberate commitment, not a feature we might quietly remove: leaving should never
require our cooperation.
- On the desktop app your data lives in encrypted files on your own machine and
reaches us only when you sign in and sync.
- If you use the AI assistant, we send your request to Anthropic, our AI provider,
together with enough of your app for the answer to be about your app: its
name, its document types, fields and views, and the titles of recent
records. The contents of your records are not sent. See the
privacy policy for the detail.
Forms you publish
If you open a form to the public, the responses are your responsibility: you decide
what to ask for, you are the one collecting it, and you must have the right to collect it
under whatever law applies to you. We provide the mechanism and store the answers for
you. A form set to anonymous records no name, no email address and no network address,
and we cannot recover that information afterwards because it was never kept.
What you may not do
- Break the law with it, or use it to store or send material you have no right to.
- Send unsolicited bulk email through it, or use forms to phish or impersonate.
- Attack, overload or probe the service, or try to reach data that is not yours.
- Resell access to the hosted service as if it were your own product.
We may suspend an account that is doing any of these, and we will tell you why.
Plans, payment and cancelling
- The free plan is genuinely free. It has no time limit and does not require a card.
- Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe. Card details go to Stripe directly
and never touch our servers.
- A subscription renews automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time,
and you keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- We do not refund part-used periods, except where the law where you live says
otherwise.
- If we change prices, existing subscribers get notice before it affects them, and
you can cancel rather than accept.
- If a payment fails we will try again and let you know. An unpaid account may be
moved to the free plan, which can mean losing access to apps beyond the free limit
— your data is not deleted for non-payment, and you can still export it.
What we promise, and what we do not
We will look after your data carefully, keep the service running as well as we can,
and give you a way to get everything out at any time.
We do not promise the service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are an
early product and we would rather say so here than imply an assurance we cannot yet
back. There is no uptime guarantee on any plan today. The service is provided
as it is, without warranties beyond those the law gives you and does not let us exclude.
Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. The export exists precisely
so that you can.
Limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Bionics LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential
losses, lost profits, or lost data beyond what you can recover from your own exports. Our
total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before
it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes, and ending it
- The product changes as we build it. We will not remove the ability to export your
data.
- You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. Export first
— deleting an app removes its data.
- We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, and except
where the law or the seriousness of the breach prevents it, we will give you a
reasonable chance to get your data out.
- If we update these terms we will change the date at the top, and we will tell
account holders before any change that materially reduces their rights.
