Does Bubble work offline?

Short answer: not for real work. A Bubble app cannot add or change records with no signal, and Bubble says full offline use is not supported yet.

In May 2026 someone on Bubble’s forum asked whether Bubble’s mobile apps would ever work fully offline. A Bubble team member passed the question to the mobile team and came back with: “they confirmed your use-case isn’t support at the moment”, adding that it is “definitely something they’ll be working on in 2026”. No date was given. (Read on 3 November 2026.)

Another forum answer describes the most Bubble’s mobile builder does today: some read-only viewing of records, with no adding, no editing and no photo uploads until the connection is back. The workarounds people post, like saving data in the phone’s local storage with a plugin, are for looking at data, not for changing it.

What that means at work

• A site visit or an inspection with no signal: at best you can look, but you cannot write anything down in the app.
• A weak-signal building (a warehouse, a plant room, a rural office): saving can hang or fail, and a half-filled form can be lost.
• When Bubble itself is down, nobody can reach their records until it is back.

None of that matters if everyone works at a desk with good internet. Bubble is a strong tool there. It matters when the work happens where the signal is not.

An AI app builder that works with no signal

Bionic Forms builds an app from a sentence or a spreadsheet. The difference is where the records live. Our desktop app for Windows, macOS or Linux keeps a full, encrypted copy of the database on the computer. Adding, editing, search, files and printing all work with no connection, for as long as you like. When it finds a connection, changes go up and come down by themselves. If two people changed the same record while apart, both versions are kept and a person picks.

Bringing a Bubble app’s data across

Bubble’s manual page Exporting data shows how: in the editor go to Data, then App data, pick a table and export it as CSV. Bubble emails you a link to the file when it is ready. Do that once per table.

Then drop the file on our home page. You get the records back as a database, and you can describe the screens you want in a sentence. Free covers unlimited apps and 10,000 entries per app. Business is $29 a month for the whole team, with unlimited users.

Where this is honest

• Offline is the desktop app only. In a browser, ours needs a connection too.
• No phone app yet. If your people only carry phones, look at AppSheet or Power Apps, which do work offline on a phone.
• Building an app needs a connection. The AI that builds it runs on our server. Using it afterwards does not.
• Bubble’s pages and workflows do not come across. The records do, and the screens are rebuilt. Bubble can build almost any web app; ours builds record-keeping apps (lists, forms, records, reports).
• We are small and pre-launch. We say plainly which parts are not finished, and your data can always be exported again.
